John (?) and Sarah Olding, his wife.   Inscribed: The Good man seen, the silent counsel gives".  He was pastor of a dissenting congregation at Gloucester 1742-1756 after which he pastored a dissenting congregation in Deptford, Hants, until his death approximately 31 years later.  His wife died April 19th 1807. (two portraits, John 28 1/4" x 24"; Sarah 29 3/4" x 24 1/4")

10. Joseph Parker (1830-1902), minister of the City Temple in London; his The People's Bible (25 volumes) is his best known work. A terracotta bust. (8 inches tall) $750.

11. William Pynchon (1590-1662), emigrated to New England in 1630 and joint founder of Springfield; best known for his 1650 book, The Meritorious Price of Our Redemption, which was condemned as false, heretical and erroneous. (21 3/4" x 18") SOLD
