The discerning reader will note that most of these commentaries are put out by familiar, trustworthy publishers who specialize in Reformed & orthodox republication of older works.  Two of note may not be as familiar: Klock & Klock (or under its former iterations, James, then James & Klock – eventually, Klock & Klock was bought out by Kregel), a Christian publishing company which reprinted solid, Reformed theological books; generally if published by Klock one can assume - as with Banner of Truth, Naphtali Press, Old Paths, Soli Deo Gloria, Sprinkle, Tentmaker, and the like, that the book will be a valuable contribution to a Reformed library.  Second, Nichol’s Series of Divines: these volumes are the 19th century basis of many modern or semi-modern reprints.  The Council of Publication for Nichol’s series works was made up of such men as W. Lindsay Alexander, James Begg, William Goold, Andrew Thomson, and others.
